Park MGM Opens the Juniper Cocktail Lounge

The Park MGM in Las Vegas has opened the new Juniper Cocktail Lounge, a mixology lounge that aims to explore a more modern take on classic cocktails. Unusual experiences and whimsical elements like fortune-telling Gin & Tonics are expressed through house-made juices and syrups, a premium selection of spirits, and a staff dedicated to the craft of mixology.

The lounge will serve a large collection of gin and a menu of classic drinks presented and prepared in avant-garde fashion. The lounge itself is a Martin Brudnizki-designed space inspired by European garden pavilions and lounges.

Juniper Cocktail Lounge is part of MGM Resorts and Sydell Group’s partnership to transform Monte Carlo Resort and Casino into two new distinct hotel experiences: a Las Vegas version of Sydell’s NoMad Hotel, and a new luxury resort, Park MGM.

Highlights from the Juniper Cocktail Lounge’s menu include:

GnT – "Choose Your Own Adventure" – Juniper Cocktail Lounge’s Gin & Tonic adds a playful interaction through the childhood-inspired “Fortune Teller” paper game that allows guests to choose the gin and flavor profile to discover the specific Gin & Tonic that they’ll try.

The BIRD Bluecoat Gin / Strawberry / Dolin Dry Vermouth / Fresh Lemon –The BIRD is a spinoff of a martini that is served in rare bird-shaped glassware to add whimsy to the classic drink. The mint leaves serve as The BIRD’s tail feathers, delivering a fresh punctuation.

Ramos Gin Fizz Tanqueray Gin / Orange Blossom / Lemon / Lime / Crème / Egg White – Bartenders previously shunned this cocktail due to its painstaking creation process. Now, the 19th century cocktail finds a permanent home on Juniper Cocktail Lounge’s menu.

No Judging – Green Chartreuse / Fresh Pineapple / Fresh Lime / Flaming Mint – Juniper Cocktail Lounge’s take on a Chartreuse Swizzle is served in a pipe-like glass. The bartender ignites the mint garnish before guests’ eyes to release the aromatics that swirl and intertwine with the acidic flavor combination.

Maple Old FashionedWhistle Pig 10-year Rye Whiskey / Barrel Aged Maple Syrup / Angostura Bitters – One of the fastest growing cocktails in America finds its next iteration at Juniper Cocktail Lounge, with barrel-aged maple syrup exploring new and complementary flavors for the whisky drink.
