Marie-Louise Sciò, CEO and creative director of Pellicano Hotels, and Aermont Capital, an independent European real estate business, have announced the formation of a strategic partnership. The new partnership will support Pellicano Hotels’ continued growth by expanding its portfolio of destination hotels across Italy and realizing the brand’s potential to become the leading Italian luxury hospitality and lifestyle group.
Pellicano Hotels currently operates three Italian hotels: The Hotel Il Pellicano in Porto Ercole, La Posta Vecchia outside Rome and the Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa in Ischia. ISSIMO, the digital extension of the Pellicano world, is a recently established e-lifestyle platform where one can read and shop a unique curation of Italy’s finest cultural offerings and goods.
Sciò said, “I am so proud of this significant milestone. The business has never been stronger and I am delighted to partner with Aermont to support our next phase of growth and further develop our unique positioning. In a rapidly globalizing industry where everything seems uniform, we embrace the beauty of exceptionality and dare to swim against the current. This is deeply ingrained in our DNA as a group: each of our hotels is beloved for a unique identity and style, intricately connected to a rich history and local surroundings. We chose Aermont as our partner because of their shared passion and commitment to preserving and showcasing Italy’s rich and beautiful heritage by curating experiences deeply rooted in Italian culture, through exceptional properties that exude their own character, soul… and a touch of Pellicano magic.”
Paul Golding, managing partner, Aermont Capital said, “We are delighted to partner with Marie-Louise and Pellicano Hotels to further develop their bold vision of Italian hospitality. We are firm believers in the company’s ability to deliver out of the ordinary, authentic experiences to sophisticated international travelers. Marie-Louise and her team have done a tremendous job in cultivating that unique offering and expanding the business in a sector that continues to demonstrate huge growth potential. We are delighted to support the business as it pursues an ambitious expansion plan that will see it consolidate its position as the country’s most exciting luxury hospitality business.”
Of the three Pellicano Hotels, Hotel Il Pellicano is a five-star seaside hotel in Porto Ercole, offering 47 rooms and suites in a pristine Tuscan cove. La Posta Vecchia, previous home to Roman Imperators and Jean Paul Getty, is a 19-room luxury hotel 30 minutes from Rome. The Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa is a 51-room luxury hotel in seven hectares of Mediterranean scrub in Ischia.
