Florida is on its way back to normalcy as the Gulf Coast cities of Naples and Marco Island begin to welcome meetings and conference attendees and planners after Hurricane Irma with the message "Florida’s Paradise Coast is Clear." The beaches have been cleared up and most of the hotels, restaurants, and shops are open for business.
“The Paradise Coast is clear,” said Debi DeBenedetto, group sales & marketing manager at the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau in a written statement. “Most of the attractions and hotels are back open and online. A few are still under clean-up and renovation but 2018 will be fully open and ready for all group meeting business and better than ever. With many of the hotels under renovations prior to Irma, we will have a new product in many resorts."
Set to open November 17 is the LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort followed by the Naples Grande Beach Resort on December 15.
Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa’s newly renovated meeting space is available for group conference, meeting and social events, and The Deck at 560 Restaurant & Bar is open daily for lunch and dinner. The resort’s guestrooms that were undergoing renovation prior to Hurricane Irma, however, will reopen in early 2018.
Almost all of the other popular meeting and conference hotels and resorts have reopened including JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort; The Ritz-Carlton, Naples; The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples; The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club; Naples Bay Resort; The Inn on Fifth; Bellasera Hotel; Hyatt House Naples/5th Avenue; Hilton Naples; Marco Beach Ocean Resort; GreenLinks Golf Villas at Lely Resort and others.
