Several media outlets have reported that Prince Harry and his girlfriend, actress Meghan Markle, stayed at Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Montego Bay, Jamaica as they were attending a friend’s wedding.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple paid $6,128.25 a night. According to Mirror, the new couple attended the wedding of Harry’s best friend and wingman Tom "Skippy" Inskip in Montego Bay.
Because the royals don’t use private planes for personal engagements, Prince Harry took a Virgin Atlantic flight from Gatwick to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, according to Mirror. The prince did shell out on a premium economy seat though, costing upwards of $2,451 for a return, according to the Mirror report.
The hotel includes 36 Ralph Lauren-designed oceanfront guest rooms and 27 private, luxury Jamaica villas. Located in the Pineapple House, the hotel’s guest rooms overlook Round Hill Bay and are steps away from the infinity pool and offer front-row access to sunsets.
These designer rooms feature plantation-shuttered windows or balconies, white linen-adorned four-poster beds, sitting areas and bathrooms offering walk-in showers, soaking tubs and dual vanities.
Afternoon Tea is served in the lounge, and showcases traditional finger foods such as cucumber sandwiches, fresh fruit and an array of fine desserts. Guests can mingle with other vacationers and enjoy shade from the afternoon sun as they delight in a selection of teas, chilled water and coffee.
Evenings at Round Hill are an occasion to dress in casual, elegant island fashion and enjoy your nightly dining experience. Depending on the evening, guests may dine al fresco by the moonlit sea on the hotel's Seaside Terrace, savor the flavors and show of wood-fire cooking in the open kitchen at The Grill, or go barefoot in the sand on the hotel's torch-lit beach.
