Marriott International reports that it has just wrapped a major renovation project of the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. The revamp included a makeover of a number of the property’s guestrooms, as well as the launch of a new restaurant.
In the resort’s Cabana Tower, the project saw 123 rooms get a refresh. The rooms now have wood-like floors, which Marriott says affords them a sleeker and more modern feel, as well as new furniture and redesigned bathrooms.
The project also added a new restaurant, the Gingambo Restaurant. Open for breakfast and dinner, the new venue serves a menu of traditional Puerto Rican dishes, including both a la carte and buffet menu items. The space also affords ocean and pool views.
The property’s La Panaderia signature coffee and espresso bar, which serves locally sources Puerto Rican coffee, pastries and grab-and-go food, also received a refresh.
Finally, the project included a revamp to the resort’s Ocean Club Spa & Wellness Center and outdoor relaxation areas. Located on the lower level of the cabana wing, the wellness center offers a number of fitness classes and a variety of exercise equipment, as well as treatment options running the gamut from a “Deep Sea” deep tissue massage to a “Bermuda Points” reflexology treatment, as well as a lineup of facials and body treatments. For couples, there is also a romantic “Time Together at Sea” couple’s massage package that includes a complimentary glass of wine and some cheese.
