Sandals Resorts hosted its fourth annual Travel Agent Golf Tournament at Sandals Emerald Bay. The golf tournament was held from August 19-22, 2019, for its travel agents from the United States, Canada and Central American countries including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and Panama.
Travel agents participated in an array of activities throughout their stay, including a two-day golf tournament on the Greg Norman-designed 18-hole golf course. A scenic oceanside course in the Caribbean, the Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course is noted for its challenging fairways and prevailing trade winds that provides a new experience for golf enthusiasts with each game.
The winning team of the two-day tournament included Mark Schmidt, Bill Wodarski and John Frankel, who had scores of 62 and 63 for a total winning score of 125. As a perk, Ivan Ferguson, head of the local government of Great Exuma, attended the award ceremony to personally congratulate the winners.
Not only did travel agents get to experience the game of golf at the resort, but they also enjoyed “Sandals’ Five-Star Global Gourmet” dining across 11 different restaurants, giving travel agents a taste of the Sandals experience.
