The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is nearing completion of the renovation of its 664-room Ainahau Tower. The renovation includes a modern tropical redesigns of its guestrooms and is scheduled for a full debut in June.
The hotel occupies the former site of the Ainahau Estate and was once home to Hawaii’s Princess Victoria Kaiulani. With many of its rooms treating guests to Pacific Ocean, Leahi (aka Diamond Head State Monument) and Waikiki skyline and cityscape views, the Ainahau Tower has long been home to the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s most requested accommodations.
In January, the first rooms within the Ainahau Tower had their redesign completed, integrating a "relaxing and beachy" palette of interior colors designed by The Vanguard Theory. This Hawaii-based design firm also took the lead in incorporating all-new platform beds, renewed ambient lighting, and updated wall coverings, drapes and flooring. Local touches permeate throughout: native Hawaiian designer NOHO Home provides the upholstery, while local artist Jenn Ellenburg’s photography adorns each room.
As more renovated Ainahau Tower guestrooms have opened for guests in subsequent months, the transformation project is nearing completion on upgraded lighting and signage in the tower’s room corridors. The property plans to begin renovation work on the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Ainahau Tower lobby over the summer.
The hotel is just a block from Waikiki Beach and within walking distance of some of the area's best shopping, dining and entertainment. For more information, visit www.princesskaiulani.com.
