Six Senses Fiji Accepting Reservations for Spring Opening

It’s official. Six Senses Fiji is on track for its scheduled spring 2018 opening, and is now accepting guest reservations starting April 14. This is the first foray into the South Pacific for the upscale hospitality brand, which now operates 11 resorts and 30 spas in 20 countries.

Six Senses has been nabbing the headlines recently for new resorts in Ibiza and Bhutan (a circuit of lodges is opening in the Himalayan kingdom this year), along with a first-ever urban concept which will debut in New York in 2019.

Located on Malolo Island, Six Senses Fiji is surrounded by the incredible natural beauty for which Fiji is known: white sandy beaches, tropical forests and crystal-clear turquoise lagoons. The resort is privy to a private sandy beach (2,100 feet long). The water sports team can arrange a number of excursions including snorkeling and surf jaunts to nearby reef breaks.

Reflecting the brand’s commitment to sustainability, Six Senses Fiji will be 100 percent solar powered using Tesla batteries. There will be 24 one- and two-bedroom pool villas complete with private decks and outdoor showers. In addition, there will be 10 private residences (an additional 50 will be constructed during phase two of the development). F&B outlets will include two restaurants, a cafe, an outdoor pizzeria and grill plus two bars.

Wellness is a core tenet of the Six Senses philosophy, so expect a top-notch Wellness Village with a Six Senses spa and gym. Highlights will include a sprawling wet area with hot and cold whirlpools, the “alchemy bar” and a yoga pavilion perched in the treetops. (Pint-sized guests can frolic at the “Grow with Six Senses” kid’s club while their parents relax at the spa.) Feeling adventurous? The resort will curate a weekly activity guide with cultural and wellness experiences. Traveling by boat? The resort will have two full-service marinas for private yachts.
