SLS Hotels & Residences is set to make its European debut in Barcelona. With the Mediterranean as its backdrop, SLS Barcelona will bring its distinctive style to the waterside district of Port Fòrum.
The hotel, offering 471 rooms and suites, six restaurant and bar concepts, three pools, a spa and extensive events space (including a ballroom), is slated to open on April 1. Whether in a Delight Guestroom or the Celestial Suite, each accommodation has oversized headboards and mirrored glass and warm timber accents. Guestroom bathrooms incorporate white marbled details, clean white tiling and sculptural mirrors. In the majority of rooms, balconies and terraces are positioned for guests to take in the views over the marina and the Mediterranean beyond.
SLS Barcelona will bring six new F&B concepts to Port Fòrum. Lora, an all-day restaurant with a large wood oven and coal-fired grill with a menu pulling from the Mediterranean’s most exciting culinary hubs, will sit beside Bar L’Anxova Divina, an informal tapas bar that both pays homage to and elevates neighborhood staples. Cosmico is a day-to-night pool bar and club set across one of the largest waterfront rooftops in Barcelona, while a "post-modern" cocktail bar is set to join the ranks of the city’s most progressive drinking dens. Deluxe, a lobby bar, and Coral, an exclusive guest-only pool bar, round out the offerings.
Other amenities at the hotel include three pools surrounded by cabanas and loungers and a wellness center. A sleek spa is set to be unveiled later in the season.
SLS Barcelona is located within easy reach of the city’s main cultural hotspots yet removed from the hustle and bustle of the well-trodden tourist trails. Set on the waterfront directly behind the marina at Port Fòrum, the hotel is a few minutes’ walk from the beach frequented only by the locals and those in the know, as well as the open-air music and entertainment venue Parc del Fòrum, home to the world-renowned Primavera Sound festival.
