Soft Opening for Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger Set for February

With its 70th anniversary in full stride, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts is set to unveil the newest addition to its brand portfolio with a soft opening of Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger February 1.

A traditional Hawaiian blessing will mark the transition of the former Holiday Inn resort to the Outrigger-branded property.

An extensive $25 million hotel renovation will follow, including all-new guest rooms and meeting spaces, as well as a revamped lobby. Projected for completion in the late summer, the phased renovation schedule is designed to minimize guest disruption.

Situated steps from Waikiki Beach and adjacent to the reimagined International Market Place, Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger is home to some of Hawaii’s dining hotspots including Maui Brewing Co. and Hawaiian Aroma Caffe.

Serving brews from morning to night, guests can have artesian coffee and light bites in a chic poolside cafe or sample a flight of award-winning, Maui-brewed craft beer with fresh, island-inspired eats.

The Beachcomber Experience Package

Welcoming Waikiki Beachcomber into the Outrigger family, the brand launched a limited-time “Beachcomber Experience Package” for guests to experience Waikiki in style with a truly immersive vacation.

Now available online, guests who book the Beachcomber Experience Package get a $70 daily value – including $50 daily credit for Maui Brewing Co. to be used at breakfast, lunch, dinner and/or drinks as well as merchandise, plus the "Waikiki Connection," including free Wi-Fi for up to three devices per room, unlimited rides on the Outrigger Waikiki Connection Trolley, a Waikiki Beachcomber souvenir drawstring tote and an exclusive offer at Spa La Cure.

The Beachcomber was originally built in 1970 and is remembered for its showroom where legendary Hawaii entertainers performed frequently – including the late Don Ho, who often sang his quintessential, universally loved tune “Tiny Bubbles.”
