As part of the 47th edition of Tianguis Turístico, Solmar Hotels & Resorts has announced new projects for its hotels set to take place during 2023 and the beginning of 2024. The projects reaffirm the hotel’s commitment to the destination of Los Cabos and its guests and will allow the hotels to continue growing and offering new experiences. Among the first projects this year is the negotiation for the expansion of Grand Solmar at Land's End, which offers views of the unique rock formations of Cabo San Lucas. Through this project, the chain's luxury offerings will be able to expand; this resort currently has 247 suites.
Alongside the negotiations, the master project of Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort Golf & Spa will be restructured. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas is an exclusive resort with views of the Pacific Ocean and houses a saltwater lagoon to enjoy activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking. It currently has 95 suites; however, for the next stages of the project, the hotel is planning an expansion of 80 new suites and more consumption centers.
Additionally, renovations will be made at two of the group's properties: Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa and The Ridge at Playa Grande. Located just steps from the Cabo San Lucas Resort and Marina, Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa has 260 suites equipped with a dining area and kitchenette, jacuzzi, television and 24-hour room service. The Ridge at Playa Grande is located on impressive cliffs, which offer a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez and La Marina, as well as the Pacific Ocean.
The hotel also announced that Solmar Golf Links, an 18-hole, par-72 Championship golf course, will host the 1st Annual Los Cabos Celebrity Golf Classic. This is the flagship event of Tackle Tomorrow, a non-profit organization founded in 2014 by five-time Super Bowl champion Charles Haley and Dallas civic leader Bob Bowie. The event will support the organization’s mission to improve early childhood literacy rates and provide family support services in Los Cabos.
Finally, the group is in negotiations to make Solmar Hotels & Resorts a multi-destination company. With this development, the chain seeks to offer travelers the opportunity to experience the exclusivity unique to Los Cabos and that separates them from competitor destinations.
