Sunway Resort, located in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, has unveiled the first phase of its $60 million renovation project that began early 2020. Guests can experience eight new guestroom and suite categories at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur’s flagship property, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary this September.
The next phases of Sunway Resort’s renovation will be revealed in 2022, where guests can expect more themed suites, dedicated family spaces, new dining outlets and revamped leisure facilities, including the swimming pool and health club, to name a few.
Ranging from 323 to 430 square feet, the Deluxe Rooms come with a pillow menu, a marble bathroom and premium bath amenities, new interior fittings and the latest gadgetry, including a 50-inch television with IPTV. The Grand Deluxe Rooms range from 430 to 538 square feet and offer a larger room with a bathtub. Connecting rooms are also available for both room categories.
The Club Rooms have contemporary interiors and are equipped with a coffee machine, a bathtub with a 21-inch TV. Guests will also enjoy added privileges, including access to the 20th Club, besides breakfast at the upcoming Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill—the first of its kind located outside of the U.K. The Wellness Suites are equipped with the latest health and wellness tech, including sleep trackers and in-suite gym equipment. Guests can also avail of online fitness coaching by Fitscovery.
Sunway Resort’s Business Suites have a workspace with a large desk, sofa, a printer and complimentary stationery, besides a bathtub with a 21-inch TV. These suites are available for single occupancy and allow busy executives to unwind to Fitscovery’s online, in-room fitness coaching. The 624-square-foot Executive Suites have a separate partitioned living area and are equipped with a coffee machine, IPTV and wireless charging stations and spa-inspired bathrooms. Guests can also avail of online fitness coaching and relax in a private whirlpool.
Ranging from 860 to 970 square feet, the Premier Suites offer panoramic views and include a separate bar and living area, a stocked minibar, a coffee machine, a bathroom with a whirlpool, TV and exclusive bath amenities.
Spanning 1,345 square feet, the Sunway Grand Suite accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms, with separate dining, living and bar areas, smart technology, a spa-inspired bathroom and personal butler service. This suite is ideal for special occasions and family vacations.
Guests can enjoy keyless room entry accessible via Sunway iLab’s Sunway Hotels & Resorts App, motion sensor night lights, IP telephones and complimentary Wi-Fi. Fully trained “iButlers” will be on hand to set up devices, offer demonstrations and deliver gadgets like the Harman Kardon headphones and nail dryers straight to the room. Walk-in chromotherapy showers in the bathrooms use color to refresh the body and stimulate senses.
The 20th Club is a sophisticated lounge that allows eligible guests to enjoy bespoke services. Perched on the 20th floor of Sunway Resort with panoramic views, this adults-only venue offers a wide range of privileges, including complimentary afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and private check-in and check-out. Two 12-seater boardrooms set the stage for meetings and presentations.
