Tafer Expands in Mexico’s Cabo San Lucas

Tafer Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with Diamante Cabo San Lucas, a master-planned luxury resort community. As a part of the agreement, Tafer will open two new luxury hotels as well as residences, ranging from one- to four-bedroom villas, within Diamante Cabo San Lucas, which is set on 1,500 acres of Pacific Ocean coastline and dunes in Mexico’s Baja California. Tafer has also agreed to partner with Diamante to own and operate the Dunes Course by Davis Love III and El Cardonal by TGR Design.

Tafer's multifaceted partnership with Diamante will include:

  • Tafer luxury hotels & Tafer Residence Club – Tafer will open two luxury resorts encompassing 750 rooms at Diamante Cabo San Lucas. The beachfront properties will offer F&B concepts, onsite experiences, wellness offerings and more. Additionally, timeshare opportunities will be available as a part of the Tafer Residence Club. Tafer will also take on management of the Diamante Residence Club, inviting members to upgrade and gain access to not only Diamante’s properties, but also Tafer Residence Club’s resorts in locations throughout Mexico.
  • Residences by Tafer – Tafer will introduce residences at Diamante Cabo San Lucas, expanding its real estate portfolio throughout Mexico, which includes Garza Blanca Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Mousai, The Villa Group, Sierra Lago Resort & Spa and Lemuria Residences. Ranging from one- to four-bedroom villas, these new homes will have contemporary architecture and design. Guests can avail themselves of a health and fitness club, multiple pools and a spa.
  • Dunes Course by Davis Love III and El Cardonal by TGR Design – Tafer and Diamante have partnered in the ownership and operation of the Dunes Course by David Love III and El Cardonal by TGR Design. Diamante’s Dunes Course weaves its way through Pacific dunes and affords beach and ocean views from nearly every hole. El Cardonal course is Diamante’s second championship course and the first-ever golf course design by Tiger Woods and his TGR Design firm. Guests and residents will have access to Diamante’s otherwise-private championship golf courses, besides a 14-acre practice facility; clubhouse, restaurants and bars; retail center; on-course comfort stations every three holes; and signature service.

As a member of Tafer Residence Club, owners can enjoy family-oriented all-suites accommodations, facilities and services in properties located in Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Los Cabos and the Sierra Madre, with the Riviera Maya soon to join the collection.
