Two hotels in Mexico joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) during the month of October: KASA Hotel Riviera Maya and KASA Hotel Parota.
Opening this November, the 37-room KASA Hotel Riviera Maya is set within the private, gated community of Puerto Aventuras. The family-friendly hotel has an infinity-edge pool and a swim-up bar, as well as a restaurant and bar, Kocina, overseen by Chef Gilberto Canto and serving three meals daily with a menu oriented towards modern Mexican cuisine using seafood and local Mayan ingredients, such as Chaya and chocolate delicacies. The hotel’s concierge can arrange activities around Riviera Maya including cenote diving, biking explorations of the area’s Mayan ruins, Mexican cooking classes and diving with sea turtles in Akumal. Additionally, the Puerto Aventuras community has its own full-service marina, golf course and beach.
The 39-suite KASA Hotel Parota in Tulum has an infinity-edge swimming. Pool with a swim-up bar and restaurant, a shallow “beach” area for sun loungers and a place for children to play, and complimentary bicycles guests can use to explore nearby shops, restaurants and bars.
