Universal Orlando Resort has announced the addition of several new guest experiences for 2018 and beyond, including new annual events, rides, and a hotel.
Fast & Furious – Supercharged, an attraction that opened in 2015 at Universal Studios Hollywood, will come to Universal Studios Florida in the spring of 2018. The attraction takes participants through a high-speed chase scene inspired by the movie franchise, with video appearances from stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Luke Evans.
Universal’s Aventura Hotel is also coming to Universal Orlando. Set to open in August, the Aventura will be the sixth hotel in the resort, offering views out of the floor-to-ceiling windows, pool access, a rooftop bar; the resort's first. Placed 17 stories up in the air, guests will be able to see Hogwarts Castle, the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, and Universal’s Volcano Bay. Rooms at Universal’s Aventura Hotel are already available for booking.
Popular special events are also coming back in 2018 with added parts, including Halloween Horror Nights (open from September through October) and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which had new décor, live shows and music in 2017. It also included the new Universal Holidays Parade Featuring Macy’s that presented new balloons and floats.
The expanded guest experiences in 2018 come on the heels of a number of additions made in 2017, including the opening of Universal’s Volcano Bay – a new water theme park – and Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, a 3D motion ride in Universal Studios Florida.
