The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas have unveiled new events and programs coming in February. Next month, the resorts will welcome new staff, offer special culinary pairings, and commemorate the Chinese New Year with new art installations.
February debuts at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas include:
Chinese New Year; Year of the Dog, and Pet Programming
To commemorate the Year of the Dog, The Venetian and The Palazzo have constructed a 16-foot Chinese Shar-Pei installation named Vincenzo Li. The Shar-Pei was known in ancient Chinese times as a symbol of good fortune and protection. The new installation was hand-sculpted and covered in artificial fur.
Nine additional (and smaller) Shar-Peis are positioned throughout the resort, as well as a three-foot hare, the secret friend of the dog. In honor of the Year of the Dog, guests are invited to bring their own pets with them. Upon check-in, dogs will receive special gifts, including a BarkBox, as well as dining options throughout the resorts.
"Something Sweet:" Rosina Chocolate and Cocktail Pairing
The newest cocktail den on the Las Vegas Strip, Rosina, has concocted a special Valentine’s Day offering with a brand-new chocolate and cocktail pairing program. From 9 p.m. to midnight daily, guests will be offered a Debauve & Gallais chocolate that specifically pairs with their choice of cocktail.
Kiril Kullish Joins the Cast of BAZ
The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas have welcomed Tony Award-winning actor Kiril Kulish to “BAZ – A Musical Mash-Up,” playing the role of Scott the Ballroom Dancer in the Las Vegas production. Kulish, who won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance in Broadway’s “Billy Elliot the Musical,” was also featured in season 22 of Dancing with the Stars, as a professional dancer in the show’s troupe.
“BAZ – A Musical Mash-Up” is a cabaret and movie-music mash-up that blends iconic love stories as imagined by film director Baz Luhrmann. Inspired by Luhrmann's take on "Romeo + Juliet," "Moulin Rouge," and "The Great Gatsby," this theatrical concert features performances from an ensemble cast and band.
