W Hotels Worldwide announced its plans to open W Nashville in 2020. The new building will be owned by Twelfth Avenue Realty Holdings and designed by architecture firm Rockwell Group.
The new hotel, located in upscale Nashville neighborhood The Gulch, will attempt to channel the city’s character. The hotel lobby, branded by W Hotels as the Living Room, will draw inspiration from the city’s civic amphitheaters and recording studios. W Nashville will also carry on the city’s music tradition with a live concert venue for up-and-coming musicians, as well as national performers.
Chef Andrew Carmellini of NoHo Hospitality Group will lead two dining options at the hotel: The Dutch Nashville and an Italian chophouse. Guests will also be able to take in views of the city’s skyline from the hotel’s rooftop bar.
W Nashville will offer 346 guestrooms. Fifty of these will be suites and two will be the W’s version of a Presidential Suite, the Extreme WOW Suite. The hotel will offer access to a gym, yoga lawn and 9,700 square-foot WET Deck. The pool area will include luxe cabanas, grill and a poolside bar.
W Hotels runs over 50 hotels around the world and plans on reaching 75 by the end of 2020. The hotel chain, a part of Marriott International, has been in business for almost 20 years.
