All events originally scheduled for “Weekends with Adele” at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace taking place January 21 through April 16 have been postponed, Caesars Palace has posted on its website. According to Adele, shipping delays and COVID-19 cases among the crew resulted in the cancellation of the full 24-show slate.
In a video posted on her Instagram on Thursday, January 20, Adele said, “I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you—but we’ve been absolute destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.” She adds that half of her crew is sick with coronavirus and “it’s been impossible to finish the show.”
“I can’t give you what I have right now, and I’m gutted,” Adele continued.
All shows are being rescheduled, although no dates are set yet. According to Caesars, guests holding a hotel reservation at a Caesars Entertainment hotel in Las Vegas on January 21 or January 22 may cancel with a full refund by calling 800-303-6640. All other hotel reservations are subject to normal cancellation policies.
“Weekends With Adele” was announced early in at the end of November 2021, following the release of her fourth studio album, “30,” on Columbia Records. The album debuted at No. 1 on album charts in 30 countries and was one of the biggest selling albums of 2021.
