In celebration of its upcoming 100th anniversary, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Cape Cod has announced the second phase of its extensive, multi-year renovation. Following the successful first phase completed last summer, the entire project represents a $12 million investment to ensure the resort continues to enhance its guest experiences. This next phase focuses on the refresh and renovation of 113 guestrooms, villas and cottages, with completion slated ahead of the summer 2025 season.
The guestroom designs aim for a residential feel, with custom-made furniture throughout; the Signature Suites stand out with softer colors and sophisticated patterns such as houndstooth and plaid, while the Villas and Cottages offer a more relaxed vibe. All bathrooms are being renovated with new finishes and fixtures, with the Signature Suites receiving lighting upgrades. Select Villas and Cottages will also undergo tub-to-shower conversions.
Villas range in size from 350 to 375 square feet, while Signature Suites range from 400 to 550 square feet and the Cottages range from 350 to 625 square feet. The Round Cove Suite is the resort’s largest accommodation and spans 1,000 square feet. The Villas and Cottages feature a range of sitting areas. Villas include a dining and work table with upholstered chairs, a lounge chair and, in some rooms, a sleeper sofa with a coffee table and ottoman. The same goes for the Signature Suites, with some offering separate living areas. The Round Cove Suite has a separate area, two sofas, a dining table for six and a desk.

Each accommodation is designed with comfort in mind, featuring fireplaces in Iris and Forsythia rooms as well as Signature Suites and H-Frame rooms, including double-sided fireplaces in Signature Suites 43 and 45. Additionally, guests can expect wet bars in a selection of H-Frame rooms (2, 6, 3o and 34), with all other rooms offering a dry bar and a mini-fridge.
Public spaces including the pool area and the fine-dining restaurant, Twenty-Eight Atlantic, will also receive updates to further enhance the guest experience.
The first phase of the renovation, completed in early summer 2024, included updates to the main lobby, Twenty-Eight Atlantic and Outer Bar, meeting rooms, and the redesign of eight private poolside cabanas in collaboration with Sister Parish. Additionally, the resort introduced three new suites in the Hydrangea Cottage by Palm & Prep, bringing new energy to the property while maintaining its signature Cape Cod charm.
