The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto Announces Reno

The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto has launched the first phase of its $50 million guestroom revitalization project. The renovations are underway and scheduled for completion in 2025, in time for the hotel’s 50th anniversary celebration.

The initial phase encompasses the renovation of 450 guestrooms, the majority of which are now available for new bookings. The new design includes wood finishes and a color palette drawn from the hues of Lake Ontario. The revitalized rooms also align with the hotel’s sustainability program. What does that include? The newly renovated bathrooms use a water filtration system, reducing the need for disposable plastic bottles. Guests are welcome to bring their own reusable water bottle from home or purchase one with a Toronto graphic as a souvenir.

In addition, The Westin Heavenly branding has been extended to the bathrooms, introducing a range of new amenities to enhance the guest experience. The commitment to wellness extends beyond the guestrooms, as demonstrated by the newly expanded gym. The faciliy offers a yoga and meditation studio, complete with Studio by Lululemon.

Located on the shoreline of Toronto’s waterfront and a natural harbor, the hotel "straddles two worlds:" the dynamic energy of the downtown core and the serene, protected landscape of Lake Ontario. The hotel’s 977 guestrooms place guests close to prominent attractions such as Rogers Centre, Scotiabank Arena, CN Tower and Exhibition Place. The hotel is also home to Canada’s largest ballroom at 25,000 square feet.

The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto is also home to a beekeeping program overseen by the Bowery Project, which also operates the rooftop chef’s garden. Two beehives located on the fifth-floor terrace allow the property to cultivate its own honey. These are just two of the ongoing efforts of The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto, to minimize its environmental footprint.
