The Westin Los Cabos has transformed from a room and suite resort to an all-villa property. The oceanfront resort is located on the southern end of Baja California, Mexico.
Its 243 lodgings are now 147 villas designed by architect Sordo Madaleno. There are both studio and two-bedroom villas available. The two-bedroom premium villas and two luxury suites have private balcony Jacuzzis. Designed for extended stays, the villas are equipped with full kitchens, balconies, and washers and dryers.
There are also spa and fitness facilities available. Spa Otomi was inspired by the colorful artwork from the Otomí people of Central Mexico. It will house a bathing suite, seven treatment rooms, and a scenic relaxation lounge.
The brand’s signature RunWestin Concierge is also available. They will host group runs and provide running maps of scenic routes on the property. There will also be multiple infinity-edge pools, tennis courts, and beach volleyball.
Guests have a variety of dining options, including Cocina Casera, which offers regional and international cuisine; and the upscale restaurant El Ciruelo. There are also less-formal options at Mercadito, La Cantina Sports Bar, and Coralline, located beachside. Cocktails and lighter food options are available at the oceanfront Margaritas swim-up poolside bar. In addition, there are a number of communal grilling areas and events such as tequila tastings and live local music.
The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa is the brand’s newest addition to its Mexican locations. There are currently hotels and resorts in Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Cozumel, and two properties in Cancun. The Westin Puebla and The Westin Monterrey are both expected to open in 2018.
