Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the debut of its newest brand, Registry Collection Hotels, in Georgia with a flagship 100-room newly built property in the heart of the capital city of Tbilisi. Slated to open in early 2023, the ART Tbilisi, a Registry Collection Hotel, will be located in the Abanotubani district. Registry Collection Hotels is Wyndham's 21st brand, which launched with the opening of the Grand Residences Riviera Cancun in June 2021.
Located on a hill with views of the old city and its traditional brick houses, the new property will offer guests a retreat in Tbilisi with easy access to many attractions, including its historic hot springs and sulphuric baths, located just opposite the hotel. Accommodation options will include a mix of suites and deluxe and executive rooms. The hotel will also offer a restaurant serving local cuisine, as well a rooftop wine bar with access to a garden overlooking the sulphuric baths and Mtkvari River. Other amenities will include a fitness center and wellness area with its own private thermal bathhouse and sauna. Guests of the hotel will also have access to premium airport transfers and valet parking on-site.
Wyndham’s portfolio in Georgia includes Wyndham Grand Tbilisi, Wyndham Batumi, Ramada By Wyndham Tbilisi Old City, Ramada Encore Tbilisi, in addition to a development pipeline of 11 hotels across the country. In recent years, Georgia has experienced a record number of visitors, with tourism accounting for around 18 percent of the country’s GDP. Despite the pandemic, according to GlobalData, by 2025 the total travel and tourism spending by all visitors in Georgia is forecast to grow by 40 percent, highlighting the high potential of the destination.
