Wynn Las Vegas’ recently launched experiential program, the Wynn Master Class Series, continues with new classes and workshops, giving guests additional opportunities to go behind the scenes and learn from the experts throughout the resort. The extended roster includes elevated, one-of-a-kind experiences that span across the poker room, Race & Sports Book, back-of-house kitchens and more.

Thursday, July 20: Perfecting Your Poker Face
Beginners looking to raise their game are invited to an exclusive poker master class hosted by Wynn’s director of poker operations, Ryan Beauregard. In addition to helping players find their perfect “poker face,” the workshop will cover the general rules of the game, tactics to feel at ease sitting down at the table and tips to master the strategies of outplaying opponents. Beginning at 2 p.m., the master class is held at Wynn Poker Room; $125 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.
Thursday, July 27: Mastering Bread Baking
Led by master bread baker Johann Willar, the exclusive workshop invites guests inside Wynn’s in-house bread bakery for a beginner’s lesson in achieving professional results when baking at home. Guests can follow along as Willar bakes a classic baguette and a Pullman loaf, while sharing his personal techniques and favorite recipes, including the secret to baking the much-loved bacon bread rolls from SW Steakhouse. The workshop includes a casual charcuterie lunch. Held inside the bread bakery at Wynn, the class begins at 1 p.m.; $150 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities.
Thursday, August 3: Sommelier for a Day
Mark Thomas, Wynn’s executive director of wine, invites guests to step into the role of a sommelier and collaborate with him on his newest selection of globally inspired wines, debuting across the resort this summer. The spirited discussion and tasting will focus on diverse growing regions, wine styles and pairing versatility, followed by a blind tasting of select wines. Participants will assist in choosing two of the actual wines that make the list. Located inside Lakeside’s private dining room, the master class begins at 3 p.m.; $125 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.
Thursday, August 10: The Art of Making Beer
Clyde Burney and Sam Merritt, respected beer authorities with Southern Glazer Wine & Spirits, will lead a lively workshop focusing on beer – from its ingredients to the process by which it’s made. Burney and Merritt will guide guests step-by-step on the art of brewing beer at home, offering insight on the brewing process, ingredients and tips and tricks for achieving professional, craft-worthy results. Held at the all-new Race & Sports Book, the master class begins at 3 p.m.; $125 per person inclusive of tax and gratuities. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.
Friday, August 18: Oddsmaker for a Day
Wynn’s executive director of race & sports operations Johnny Avello invites guests to an exclusive master class in the art of setting odds. Guests will get an inside look into what it’s like to run a complex Race and Sports Book operation and be an oddsmaker for Wynn Las Vegas, while learning how Avello sets odds for major events like the Super Bowl and the Oscars. The interactive master class includes a personal lunch with Johnny at the all-new Race & Sports Book and begins at 1 p.m.; $125 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities. Friday, September 15: Sushi Master Class
Join Mizumi’s executive chef Devin Hashimoto and master sushi chef Kitt Xaiyasiha in the kitchen for an interactive class on mastering nigiri, temaki and maki rolls, while learning tips on the best ingredients and methods for achieving restaurant caliber sushi at home. The chefs will share key elements of Japanese cooking, emphasizing the balance and harmony of flavor, color and texture, while demonstrating the craft of sushi platters. The hands-on workshop includes a casual lunch at Mizumi and begins at 12 p.m.; $150 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities.
Thursday, September 28: Cake Decorating with a Master
Wynn’s master cake artist Flora Aghababyan opens the doors to her cake studio to share her expert techniques and secrets for making her award-winning celebration cakes. Winner of Food Network’s Cake Challenge, Flora has designed custom masterpieces for countless Wynn guests and celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé and Bette Midler. From the basics, including fondant and piping to working with molding chocolate and sugar décor, Flora will share tips and techniques for creating stunning cakes at home. Held inside the pastry kitchen at Wynn, the class begins at 2 p.m.; $150 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities.
Thursday, October 5: Conscious Cooking
Celebrity chef Tal Ronnen joins Lakeside’s chef de cuisine Paul Zlatos for a rare, hands-on cooking demo, highlighting some of the most popular plant-based recipes from chef Ronnen’s best-selling cookbook, Crossroads. Sharing the philosophy behind a plant-based pantry and kitchen, the master class demonstrates techniques for imparting uncanny protein-like flavors and creating innovative meatless cuisine. Held at Lakeside at 12 p.m., the class includes a casual lunch and an autographed copy of Crossroads; $150 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities.
Thursday, October 19: Wonton Love – A Dumpling Master Class
Guests are invited to step into the kitchen with master dim sum chef Sandy Shi and Red 8’s executive chef Chen Wei Chan for an in-depth, hands-on workshop in perfecting Chinese dumplings. From wontons and wrappers to fillings and dipping sauces, this interactive demonstration will include professional tips and sure-fire methods for pan frying dumplings to crispy perfection. Thursday, November 9: Whiskey and Cigars – A Master Class in Appreciation
Join a group of whiskey aficionados for an exclusive look into the world of luxury blended Scotch whiskeys crafted by Johnnie Walker. Participants will learn the intricate process by which whiskey is made, including cask selection and aging, the difference between blended and single malts and all about the notable whiskey regions of Scotland. A cigar artisan will also guide guests through cigar basics, from cutting, lighting, smoking and storing to the pairing of a good smoke with a premium whiskey. Thursday, December 7: Chocolate Master Class
Led by executive pastry chef Patrice Caillot and chef chocolatier Bruno Codinha, the interactive demo takes guests behind the scenes to learn the basics of making and working with chocolate from the masters. Participants will get a crash course in emulsions, tempering, molding and piping, while tasting a variety of Wynn’s artisanal chocolates handcrafted daily. The workshop begins at 2 p.m. inside Lakeside’s kitchen; $125 per person including tax and gratuities.
Thursday, December 14: Champagne Wishes – A Bubbles & Bites Tasting
Join Wynn’s executive director of wine Mark Thomas for an intimate tasting as he takes guests on an educational tour of the world’s great champagne regions. Experience an array of sparkling wines from Champagne and Prosecco to Cava and more, all matched perfectly to a variety of small bites from executive chef David Walzog’s kitchen at Lakeside. The workshop and tasting will guide participants through the world of fizz, showing the many moods, foods and occasions that suit different styles of sparkling wine. Saturday, December 16:Treat Trimming – Edible Ornaments Master Class
Patrice Caillot guides guests in the art of edible ornaments with a hands-on tutorial to create holiday décor that tastes as good as it looks. Participants will learn techniques and professional tips in achieving perfect edible décor – from crunchy holiday chocolate trees to gingerbread ornaments – while sipping on artisanal hot chocolate. Beginning at 2 p.m., the master class is hosted inside Lakeside’s private dining room; $95 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities. Children five and older are welcome to attend.
