Apple Leisure Group (ALG) announced today the appointment of Alejandro Reynal as CEO, taking over for Alex Zozaya. As part of the transition, Zozaya will serve in a full-time capacity as executive chairman and will lead the board of directors.
In his new role, Reynal will oversee ALG, which comprises of a collection of leading subsidiary companies, including AMResorts; destination management service providers Amstar DMC and Worldstar; a portfolio of leading vacation brands, such as Apple Vacations, Travel Impressions, CheapCaribbean.com and Funjet Vacations; the Unlimited Vacation Club loyalty program; and technology provider, TriSept Solutions.
Reynal’s international professional career includes time having worked in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Previously, he served as CEO of Atento, a global provider of customer relationship management and business process outsourcing services, where he led the company to an initial public offering in 2014. During Reynal’s seven years as CEO, according to ALG, Atento became recognized as a leading provider of customer experience solutions, as well as recognized as one of the “25 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces” by Great Place to Work in five different years. Earlier in his career, Reynal held management positions at Telefonica, The Coca-Cola Company and The Gap, Inc.
Reynal has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
