ASTA’s New Exec Appointments Aim to Improve Advocacy

The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) has announced several staffing changes that the organization says will strengthen its focus on advocacy, business development and member services.

He has served in multiple government affairs and communications roles at ASTA since 2012 and in his new role will oversee the Society’s efforts to advocate for the travel agent and advisor community – including key government affairs, industry affairs, communications, legal and research functions.

Sarah Little has been promoted to Director, Business Development. Also at ASTA since 2012, Little assumes an expanded role in developing and executing strategic marketing programs with suppliers, destinations and other industry stakeholders.

Andrea Caulfield has been promoted to Manager, Member Care. At ASTA since 2015, Caulfield is an integral part of the ASTA Membership team and the main point of contact for ASTA’s current and prospective members, supplier partners and the traveling public, ASTA said.

Jasmine Causey has been promoted to Senior Coordinator, Membership Sales & Service, shifting her focus to supporting the National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) membership network. She has been at ASTA since 2013.

Finally, Don McGahee is moving into the post of Manager, Business Development, where he will be responsible for ASTA’s growing international membership, as well as organizing ASTA and NACTA’s educational FAM programs. He has been at NACTA and ASTA since 2011.
