Atlas Ocean Voyages is continuing its growth in North America with the appointment of two new people to its sales team in the region. Alyssa Logan will serve as the company’s sales manager for North America, West, while Richard Sims will serve as the sales manager for North America, East. The two join the company as it looks forward to opening reservations in January for its first ship, the World Navigator.
Logan is a 25-year industry veteran, having started her career aboard cruise ships as a future cruise consultant, shore excursion manager and cruise director for Seabourn Cruise Line, Cunard and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. She then transferred shoreside to work in sales for companies such as Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Azamara, and most recently as global sales director of MICE for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
Sims has also spent the majority of his more-than-25-year travel career in the cruise industry. He has worked for Norwegian Cruise Line and was named 2012 Sales Manager of the Year at Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line. Most recently, Sims was director of national accounts east for Insight Vacations, where he was part of a sales team that achieved the highest sales in the company’s 40-year history.
Atlas Ocean Voyages is a luxury adventure cruise line. Formerly Mystic Cruises USA, the company rebranded earlier this fall and established its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. Atlas is the U.S.-based subsidiary cruise line of Mystic Invest Holdings, which owns and operates the world’s third-largest river cruise fleet, as well as hotels, attractions, helicopter tours, consumer space travel, and now, ocean cruise ships.
Opening for reservations in January 2020, the new brand’s first ship, the World Navigator, will start sailing in 2021. In 2022 and 2023, the World Navigator will be joined by three sibling vessels, the World Traveller, World Adventurer and World Seeker.
