Travel Leaders Network has hired Lindsay Pearlman, who recently left Ensemble Travel Group, to expand the leisure programs at the company’s international partners. Pearlman will take on the newly created position of senior vice president, international leisure, reporting to Travel Leaders Network President Roger E. Block. Pearlman started at Travel Leaders July 8.
In a written statement Block said that Pearlman will work with Travel Leaders Network’s international partners to expand the company’s leisure programs throughout Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
“Many of our international partner agencies have a very large leisure operation in addition to their corporate division,” Block said.
Travel Leaders’ international expansion has been a major focus for the company recently, as executives shared with Travel Agent at the recent EDGE Conference. The company now has combined representation in more than 60 countries, offering a portfolio of corporate, MICE and leisure travel. With that expansion has come an effort to adopt a decentralized management structure across its international partners, while at the same time standardizing operations to take advantage of Travel Leaders' technology platforms and hotel programs.
Pearlman most recently served as co-president of Ensemble, where he worked for 12 years, including as executive vice president and general manager of the retail travel group. Prior to Ensemble, Pearlman was with American Express Global Travel Services for 11 years in a variety of roles. He also served on several industry advisory boards, including at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA).
Pearlman currently resides in Toronto. Travel Leaders said he will work closely with Angeles Yugdar, senior vice president of international markets for Travel Leaders Group.
