Genting Malaysia Berhad, which oversees operations of Resorts World Bimini (RWB), recently announced that Patricia “Missy” Lawrence will be the new president of the recently-completed resort in the Bahamas.
In her new role, Lawrence will oversee all operations at RWB, including gaming, entertainment, hotel, transportation and dining.
In addition to being responsible for operations at RWB, Lawrence will also oversee the Genting-owned Hilton Miami Downtown, which recently underwent a $30 million renovation.
Lawrence has more than 23 years of experience in the hospitality and gaming industry, the last six of those year having been with Genting.
Lawrence’s most recent role within the company was with Genting Hong Kong as senior vice president of marketing for Resorts World at Sea, managing casino marketing across the company’s three cruise brands – Crystal Cruises, Dream Cruises and Star Cruises.
Prior to working for Genting Hong Kong, Lawrence opened Resorts World New York City as vice president of marketing and oversaw the initial startup of operations at RWB. Before joining Genting, Lawrence served in various executive roles at Isle of Capri Casinos.
RWB recently completed a 300-room, Hilton-branded hotel that offers waterside suites and a rooftop pool. Together with a boutique, marina-front casino, numerous food and beverage outlets as well as a variety of water sports and live entertainment offerings, the resort aims to offer an authentic Bahamian experience.
