It’s another busy time for new executive appointments in the travel industry.
Barbara Staiger |
Silversea just named Barbara Staiger as its new vice president of strategic partners, and Pleasant Holidays has hired Nancy Logan on as director of sales.
Staiger will report to Christian Sierralta, Silversea’s vice president of national accounts and Latin America. She has over 23 years of experience in the luxury cruise industry, with 18 years spent at Regent Seven Seas Cruises as a sales director and five years as the line’s vice president of key accounts. In her latest role, Staiger will be responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities and increasing market share with affiliated roll-ups and key accounts.
Update: Logan is not a replacement for Kimberly Daley, according to a statement provided to Travel Agent. Daley had served as Pleasant Holidays’ senior vice president of sales and strategy and vice president and managing director of its Journese brand, which offers luxury vacations in Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean. Late last year Daley left Pleasant Holidays to join adventure travel company Mountain Travel Sobek as that company’s president and CEO. The announcement of Daley's replacement is still pending, Pleasant Holidays said.
Logan will be based in Pleasant Holiday’s Westlake Village, CA, headquarters, where she will lead, plan and direct the activities of the Pleasant Holidays and Journese sales team, including the company’s remote business development managers and inside sales support staff. Pleasant Holidays said that relationship management with key travel agency partners will be an important part of her position.
Logan has more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry, most recently as vice president of sales and vice president of national accounts at Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection. Before that Logan was at Brendan Vacations, managing key accounts and sales staff.
