Signature Travel Network has announced the restructuring of its marketing and preferred partnership departments, with the hiring of Phil Cappelli and the promotion of other key executives.
Cappelli will join Signature in the role of senior vice president, preferred partnerships, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s preferred partnership portfolios, including hotel and resort, cruise, land and specialty suppliers, as well as destination partnerships. Cappelli has had a 20-plus year career in the travel industry, most recently as USA president for Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold. Before that, he held executive roles with Tauck World Discovery.
As part of the plan Signature has also promoted Karryn Christopher to the role of executive vice president, marketing and preferred partnerships; Christine Conklin to vice president, marketing; and Nicole Gonzales to senior director, sales and marketing. Christopher has been a longtime leader of Signature’s marketing team, having spent a total of 18 years with the company, while Conklin and Gonzalez have been with Signature for 14 and 11 years, respectively. During that time, Conklin and Gonzalez have worked to expand the company’s email and print marketing offerings, as well as leading a strategy focusing on increased personalization at both the level of the agency and individual advisor, Signature said.
