Scenic Group, which is the parent company of Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours and Emerald Waterways, has hired Ann Chamberlin as its new vice president of sales – USA. She began her travel career in 1988 with Holland America, and since that has held executive roles with both Virtuoso and the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), where she served as president of the National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) and spearheaded the rebranding of the ASTA subsidiary into ASTA-SBN.
Riviera River Cruises, meanwhile, expanded its sales staff to cover the Western United States and Canada with the addition of Barbara Sargent, who will serve as a regional sales director for the two areas. She has more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry, and she will be based in Southern California.
In other cruise news, Princess Cruises appointed Prag (Pragnesh) Shah to the position of global head of experience & innovation operations, leading the continued activation and expansion of MedallionClass Vacations including digital and live immersive experiences across the cruise line’s fleet. Most recently, he was president of WealthEngine, a data analytics company serving luxury brands and nonprofit organizations.

In hotel news, Dream Hotel Group promoted Michael Lindenbaum to the role of chief operating officer. He has been with the company for nine years, most recently serving as executive vice president, hotel development and operations.
Outrigger Hospitality Group named Kenny Kan senior vice president and chief development officer. In this newly reintroduced role, Kan will report directly to Jeff Wagoner, Outrigger’s president and CEO, and oversee the company’s growth initiatives through acquisitions of resort properties and securing management contracts in Hawaii as well as global resort destinations.
