Automated travel and entertainment expense management software provider Certify has announced the acquisition of the corporate online booking technology platform from nuTravel. This newly acquired technology will serve as the basis for Certify’s newest service, called Certify Enterprise Travel.
Certify Enterprise Travel will augment Certify’s current standard Certify Travel Booking application for small business, making the software more applicable for the travel bookings of midsize to large companies and their travel management partners. Certify Enterprise Travel will also enable customers to work with any corporate travel agency as the ticketing provider of choice.
Additional product services will provide extended corporate travel management capabilities, such as travel policy enforcement, workflow routing, direct connections to vendors, duty of care functionality and select supplier inventory for employee use.
Certify currently serves many enterprise customers, such as H&R Block, Pitney Bowes and Garmin International. With the newly acquired platform, Certify now provides in-house solution for travel and expense management for businesses of all sizes.
Travel management companies can now offer Certify Enterprise Travel to their customers, providing an integrated solution covering desktop and mobile users, as well as single sign-on capabilities and support for international travelers, such as language and currency conversions.
The nuTravel technology acquisition comes with a team of Dallas-based developers and sales professionals; nuTravel will continue to operate in the airline services business and will not be a competitor of Certify’s.
“These are exciting times for Certify as nuTravel was looking for a partner that would acquire our booking tool and take it to the next level. Certify was a natural fit for both parties and this allows Certify to strengthen its position and ability to compete in the mid-large corporate market for a fully integrated T&E platform,” said Carmine Carpanzano, CEO, nuTravel. “We have been speaking with our customers and TMC distributors for quiet a while and Certify has the answer and we know the market is ready to embrace good healthy competition.”
