Travel agents and agencies can now enroll in Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) 2019 membership programs. CLIA membership is intended to help members navigate the cruise industry, bring in more clients and increase profits.
CLIA membership provides agencies with booking credentials and agents with the CLIA EMBARC ID, the official credential of the global cruise industry. In addition to providing industry recognition, the EMBARC ID entitles agents to preferred member pricing for events like Cruise360 an access to CLIA member benefits such as cruise line and partner commissions.
Agents with CLIA membership also are provided with access to professional development and training programs, giving members access to expert knowledge and partnerships. These programs come in a variety of formats and can help agents become certified in CLIA’s members-only programs.
Additionally, CLIA members can benefit financially with bonus commissions, travel perks and members-only discounts. Travel agency members receive $3,475 in cruise line commission bonus and individual agent members receive over $3,000 in cruise line bonus commissions. Members also received discounted pricing on CLIA and Executive Partner products, including CLIA courses, event registrations and more.
Other benefits include becoming listed on CLIA’s online Agent Finder, a monthly subscription to the association’s monthly Travel Agent Cruise News, access to informative videos and various other members-only resources and promotions.
