John Lovell has been appointed president, leisure travel, supplier relations and networks for Travel Leaders Group. Lovell will be responsible for overseeing partnerships with travel suppliers, including cruise lines, tour operators, car rental firms and travel insurance companies across the Travel Leaders Group enterprise.
Lovell will also continue in his role overseeing the leisure and network business units of Travel Leaders Group, including Travel Leaders Network and Travel Leaders Leisure Group, the latter of which consists of several Travel Leaders’ wholly owned leisure businesses, including All Aboard Travel, CruCon Cruise Outlet and Cruise Specialists.
In his supplier relations role, Lovell will partner closely with Peter Vlitas, senior vice president of airline relations, and Michael Heflin, senior vice president of the hotel division, for Travel Leaders Group. Pam Young, senior vice president, industry relations for Travel Leaders Group, and her team will report to Lovell.
Lovell previously served as president, Travel Leaders Network and Leisure Group. Prior to that, he was president of Vacation.com, which was the largest travel agency consortium in the U.S. and was acquired by Travel Leaders Group in 2011. Lovell has also held management positions at ANC Rental Corporation, Renaissance Travel Solutions and Hertz Corporation.
In 2015, Lovell founded the Family Bonds Foundation, a charitable giving arm of Travel Leaders Group, that supports the charitable needs of those who work within the travel industry as well as the broader community.
