Luxury hotel collection Karisma Hotels & Resorts hosted its 11th Annual Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant Awards earlier this month, honoring its top performing agents. The four-day event also included the company’s Sales & Marketing Forum where Karisma offered an outline of the company’s upcoming openings, such as a new resort in Colombia and three additional properties in the Riviera Maya.
Held at El Dorado Royale, A Spa Resort, by Karisma in Mexico's Riviera Maya, the company’s GIVC Awards and Sales & Marketing Forum ran from December 5 to 8 and gathered 600 agents and their guests from around the world. Receiving the most awards of the event were Shelli Nornes of Romance Travel Group, who was also given Hall of Fame recognition, and Anthony Tucker of All Inclusive Outlet.
Additionally, Karisma honored five of its top performing agents with Elite status, a designation given to individuals with more than 2,000 approved room nights in a year. Honorees included Lisa Findura from KHM Travel Group, Jennifer Doncsecz from VIP Vacations, Inc., Anthony Tucker from All Inclusive Outlet, Pamela Walker of Escapes.ca and Sandra Lombardi of Red Label Vacations Inc.
Before the awards, Karisma spent time providing a preview of its new and upcoming properties. The company expects to introduce three new resorts in the Riviera Maya: the first Margaritaville Island Reserve All-Inclusive Experience, a second Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts location and, opening in January 2019, Xolumado Inspiration Village. In Colombia’s Santa Marta, the company is taking over the beachfront Irotama Resort.
