Protravel International and Tzell Travel Group are headed to a new headquarters.
Travel Leaders Elite, the recently-formed division of Travel Leaders Group that encompasses the two luxury brands, recently signed a lease for two floors at 1633 Broadway in New York, which is also known as the Paramount Plaza Building.
“This new location will provide us with ample space for both Protravel International and Tzell Travel Group to be within the same building, and allows us to build the space into a modern, beautiful, bright and clean configuration,” Gail Grimmett, president of Travel Leaders Elite, tells Travel Agent. “Moving forward, we want to ensure our new headquarters is reflective of our brands’ identities as two of the foremost leaders in high-end luxury and business travel – each possessing a highly-respected heritage and legacy.”
Grimmett also says that the new location will put the two brands in close proximity to companies already in the building, which she describes as “exceptional brands that align with our brand values.” Protravel and Tzell will be able to hold open houses for those organizations and take advantage of the building’s lobby area to continue to build business. Having both agency organizations in the same building will also make it more efficient for supplier partners to meet with the two teams.
“While Protravel and Tzell will be headquartered will be in the same building, it is important to note that these travel agency brands will remain separate,” Grimmett says. “There is no effort or thought to make any changes to our current business models – each group has its own identity and clientele.”
While there are no photos of the new space yet as it is not yet complete, here’s a look at the outside of the building (taken on Google Street View in March 2016):
Travel Leaders announced the new Travel Leaders Elite division back in April 2016, naming Grimmett as the newly-created division’s president. Prior to her new role Grimmett had served as senior vice president, Global New York, at Delta, where she had full financial and commercial responsibility for the airline’s domestic and international performance in New York. Both brands remained distinct businesses within the new organization, with Protravel maintaining its affiliation with Virtuoso and Tzell remaining affiliated with Signature.
In March of this year Travel Leaders Elite launched new customized leisure itinerary management solutions for the two brands, ProTrip for Protravel and TzellTrip for Tzell. The new mobile applications were developed in partnership with Umapped, and were tailored to each agency organization’s specific requirements.
