Travel agents gathered at Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas in Los Cabos, Mexico, for the hotel company’s 3rd Annual RIU Awards. Winners received a free trip for two to the hotel for the ceremony, including the price of a special tour and leisure activities.
Riu’s business development team and EPIC TOURS DMC staff joined winning agents in repainting a local soup kitchen. Thirty-five people participated in the project, also donating paint, school supplies, clothes, toys and money to “El Cactus.” Riu also hosted events for children, bringing in Riu’s Kids Club mascot Calú to organize games and activities.
Travel agents in the United States and Canada looking to participate in the 4th RIU Awards Ceremony next year must be active Riu Partner Club members and credited as Riu Specialist Agents. RIU Hotels & Resorts will choose winners based on their registered production for 2018. All bookings will count, including groups.
RIU Partner Club is a loyalty program that rewards agents with points that can be redeemed for stays at any Riu property. Points accumulate based on reservations agents submit through the club. The program rewards members according to the hotel category they choose, the number of guests and room nights.
