Sabre Corporation is developing a new Digital Airline Commercial Platform that will allow travel agencies to develop personalized offers for their clients, a company representative tells Travel Agent.
Announced at the company’s recent Sabre Technology Exchange in Dallas, the new platform is being billed as an end-to-end solution for the travel ecosystem. Because it will be new distribution capability (NDC)-enabled, it will allow all channels, including travel agencies, to develop personalized offers, Sabre said. The platform will also include new features for the SabreSonic passenger service system (PSS) and AirVision commercial planning products. Other planned features for the new platform will include ultra-fast shopping, an open Microservices Hub and the ability to further enable enhanced travel experiences.
The rollout of the new platform will begin in the fourth quarter of 2018, with intelligent retailing, an ultra-fast shopping engine, the Microservices Hub, Dynamic Pricing and a mobile first Digital Agent Interface. Additional capabilities will follow, including deeper integration across commercial planning, NDC-enabled offer and order management, more features for the Microservices Hub and expanded global cloud deployment.
In other technology news from Sabre, the company reports that it is adding a number of new languages for its Sabre Red Workspace for travel agencies. The solution is currently rolling out in English, German, Spanish and Japanese. French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese will follow. The new product release follows an extensive pilot and testing phase with selected customers, Sabre said.
