A major technology provider for the travel industry, Sabre Corporation, has reached an agreement with Booking.com to add its listings to Sabre's Sabre Content Services for Lodging later this year.
Sabre Content Services for Lodging is familiar to many travel agents as the technology company’s aggregate Global Distribution System. The deal with Booking.com will add the company’s more than 28 million listings to Sabre’s GDS. This addition will include Booking.com’s over 5.4 million alternative lodgings, including homes, apartments and generally unique places for travelers to stay.
The companies plan for the collaboration to increase efficiency and revenue through wider lodging choices and improved optimization. When the integration occurs later this year, the updated service will be available through Sabre APIs, the Sabre Red Workspace, GetThere and TripCase.
As just about every travel agent knows, Sabre Corporation is a technology company that creates software for airlines, hotels and travel companies. Their programs are used for managing flights, networks, crews, revenue records and passenger and guest reservations. The company’s travel marketplace processes over $120 billion a year.
Booking.com is a famous lodging website that provides users with a wide range of booking options, including apartments, vacation homes, bed and breakfasts, 5-star luxury resorts, tree houses and igloos. Travelers reserve over 1.5 million room nights per day through the website.
