Signature Travel Network has announced a new partnership with Australia-based travel agency network Magellan Travel Group at its annual Owners Meeting, which is taking place through September 16 at the Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Phoenix.
Signature said that the new partnership gives the organization the strongest U.S.-based travel network footprint in Australia with the addition of Magellan’s 130 agencies and more than 600 consultants.
In a written statement Signature President and CEO Alex Sharpe said that the new partnership would expand the organization’s global reach and increase its ability to negotiate better travel privileges for Signature members and clients.
Through the Signature Travel Network International Affiliates Program, Magellan members will have access to a variety of Signature programs and supplier connections, including the Signature Hotels and Resorts Program. Magellan members will also be connected with nearly 100 of Signature’s preferred destination specialists in 113 countries, as well as Signature’s proprietary Pocket Travel Consultant itinerary app, powered by Axus.
The four-day Owners Meeting draws 85 percent of Signature travel agency owner members, as well as senior executives from Signature preferred supplier partners. The theme of this year’s meeting is Partner for Success. Members will be able to participate in networking events, as well as take in a keynote presentation by speaker and bestselling author Matthew Kelly. Signature’s executive team will also provide network updates and announcements during the event’s general sessions regarding the Signature Hotels and Resorts Program, recent technology investments, and new marketing updates.
