Travel Leaders Group has announced further expansion of its international operations with the addition of CTS (Corporate Travel Services) to its list of brands. Founded in 1996 by José Luis Castro in Mexico City, CTS has grown to become the largest and most distinguished independent Travel Management Company (TMC) in Mexico with 600 employees and annual sales of approximately US $350 million.
According to a written release, Ninan Chacko, CTC, CEO of Travel Leaders Group said, "the addition of CTS firmly establishes Travel Leaders Group as a key player in the Mexican market and cements our positioning as the leading travel agency company in North America. CTS also provides us with a highly strategic platform from which to expand our presence into the rest of Latin America."
The release further states that throughout CTS's 21-year history, their main focus has been on delivering business travel solutions; it has grown to serve more than 300 corporate clients with business travel representing close to 65 percent of its total sales volume. Additionally, CTS offers diversified solutions and services to MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) and luxury leisure clientele. The MICE division is currently the highest growth area within CTS, while leisure services are increasingly focused on cross-selling opportunities with CTS corporate clients.
Travel Leaders Group is one of North America's largest travel companies - encompassing nearly one-third of all travel agents and generating gross travel sales approaching $21 billion. The group also recently released an analysis of 2017 Quarter 1 business travel trends.
