Six new suppliers will join the preferred suppliers list for TRAVELSAVERS next year, which includes over 100 approved preferred suppliers.
The new additions include the American river cruise line American Queen Steamboat Company, river cruise company AmaWaterways, international tour operator Goway Travel, small ship cruise company Victory Cruise Lines, private guided tour company Buffalo Tours and India destination experts Trail Blazer Tours. Nicole Mazza, TRAVELSAVERS’ chief marketing officer, described the additions show as a reflection of an increasing desire for immersive experiences.
“Whether travelling domestically or internationally, agents are being challenged to offer opportunities that bring travelers closer to places they go, from meeting locals to exclusive destination excursions,” said Mazza.
Mazza highlighted Victory Cruise Lines’ new Yucatan Peninsula offering that includes a private sunrise visit to Chichen Itza and a local shaman experience, saying “it’s chances like these, to reflect and experience the authentic, that define the new travel experience.”
TRAVELSAVERS’ retail chain includes over 2,500 full-service travel agencies in more than 35 countries, generating over $22 billion in annual travel sales. In addition to its more than 100 preferred suppliers, TRAVELSAVERS also offers 61 contracted air suppliers, 34 on-location suppliers and 30,000 hotels through its global hotel program. TRAVELSAVERS also features an exclusive territory system based on populations of 50,000, allowing agency owners to keep control over clients and leads in their area.
