Grow Your River Cruise Business with AmaWaterways in 2024

Leading the way in river cruising, award-winning AmaWaterways invites your clients to glide through Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. The river cruise line is renowned for their spacious and innovative ships, exquisite regionally-inspired dining, diverse array of enriching included excursions, and unparalleled service delivered with a smile by extraordinary Cruise Managers and crew members.

However, AmaWaterways is more than just a supplier – they are your partners, supporting you every step of the way as you continue to grow your river cruise business. With three new itineraries, two new ships, and one brand-new destination debuting during their 2024 sailing season, there are plenty of reasons your clients will want to consider making their next vacation a cruise with the Heart of the RiverTM.

The Romance of February in Europe

AmaWaterways’ 2024 sailing season begins earlier than ever with new February departures on the Danube and Rhine rivers. With reduced airfare rates and fewer crowds, February is a wonderful time for solo travelers and couples to experience the romance, history, and culture of grand capitals and charming villages alike. On the Rhine River in February, your clients have the choice between AmaWaterways’ 7-night Captivating Rhine and Enchanting Rhine itineraries, both cruising between Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Basel, Switzerland, on board the elegant AmaLucia. These itineraries allow guests to experience enchanting cities such as Düsseldorf and Breisach just as the locals do. Among the incredible excursions offered, guests may join a wine tasting in Rüdesheim and indulge in the flavors of the town’s iconic vineyards.

On the line’s 7-night Magna on the Danube itinerary between Budapest and Vilshofen, your clients will cruise along the Danube River through Europe’s wintery landscapes and tranquil historical towns, and they can delight in seasonal wonders such as strolling through the medieval town of Dürnstein, its picturesque half-timbered buildings perhaps dusted with fresh snowfall. This itinerary also allows guests to experience the luxury of space on board AmaWaterways’ award-winning flagship, AmaMagna, which has reimagined the river cruising experience with its ultra-spacious balcony suites, four unique restaurants, expansive wellness studio, onboard cinema, and full-size pickleball court.

Beyond Dijon in Burgundy

2024 also brings a brand-new AmaWaterways itinerary along France’s idyllic Rhône and Saône rivers with the line’s 7-night Flavors of Burgundy cruise between Lyon and the Port of Dijon. Food and wine enthusiasts will revel in the chance to experience the French culinary capital of Lyon, the vineyard-clad village of Beaune, and the variety of regional wines from Beaujolais and Clos de Vougeot to Chalonnaise and Mâconnais.

More Capacity on Egypt’s Nile River

Due to the immense popularity of the line’s 11-night Secrets of Egypt & the Nile river cruise and land journey, AmaWaterways is thrilled to expand their capacity in this epicenter of history and culture with the 2024 launch of their stunning, newly-designed AmaLilia. This ship will feature upscale, regionally inspired décor and 41 staterooms, 13 of which will be marvelous suites. The ship will also include a Main Restaurant as well as the line’s signature multi-course tasting experience at The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant. Throughout guests’ Nile River cruises, they will also be accompanied by expert Egyptologists on-and-off board their ships.

Discoveries Await in Latin America

In November 2024, AmaWaterways will become the first major river cruise line to explore Colombia along the magnificent Magdalena River. On board the stunning, newly designed 60-passenger AmaMagdalena, guests will cruise between Barranquilla and Cartagena on the line’s 7-night Magic of Colombia or Wonders of Colombia itineraries. Both river cruises will visit such fascinating destinations as Mompox, Nueva Venecia, and Magangue, offering historic walking tours, scenic cruising, and birdwatching. The itineraries also include a lively year-round Carnaval celebration as well as exclusive cumbia and jazz performances. More information on these itineraries is available at AmaWaterways.com/Colombia.
