Access Trips Launches Two New Cuba Shore Excursions

Access Trips, a tour operator that specializes in excursions in Havana, Cuba, has launched two, new curated experiences for clients looking for smaller, more exclusive Cuba shore excursions.

There are two options including an Ernest Hemingway themed tour and a Taste of Havana experience. Both exclusive day tours are commissionable and designed to help visitors connect with local Cubans in a meaningful way and to support Cuba's burgeoning private sector during a pivotal moment in history.

Hemingway’s Havana

This private excursion allows guests to follow in the footsteps of Hemingway.

Highlights include a lunch at a private restaurant in Cojimar, the fishing town where Hemingway kept his boat, and the inspiration for "The Old Man and the Sea," as well as a visit to Finca Vigia, Hemingway's stylish home from 1939-1960.

The tour also includes indulging in cocktails at one of his favorite Havana haunts - daiquiris at El Floridita or mojitos at La Bodeguito del Medio.

Priced at $285 per person, the tour also includes private transportation for the day in a classic 1950s car; a full day of sightseeing, including Old Havana; lunch at a private restaurant; the entrance fee to Finca Vigia; an English speaking guide; bottled water and transfers to and from the cruise ship or other Havana accommodations.

A Taste of Havana

This food tour provides visitors with an opportunity to experience an authentic day in the life of a Cuban citizen as they explore Havana through its cuisine.

Guests will connect with local Cubans as they visit a produce market, ration store and supermarket. In addition, they will explore Old Havana, cruise the famous Malecon and drive by Revolution Square. They will also learn to mix the perfect mojito and dine at one of Havana’s oldest paladres.

Priced at $285 per person, the Taste of Havana day tour includes private transportation in a classic 1950s car; a full day of sightseeing, including Old Havana; a mojito class and two cocktails; lunch at a private restaurant; an English speaking guide; bottled water and transfers to and from the cruise ship or other Havana accommodations.
