African Travel, Inc. Launches 2025 Brochure

African Travel, Inc. has launched its new brochure for 2025, complete with immersive and educational experiences along with three new journeys to Madagascar and Egypt.

On the new seven-day "Wild Madagascar" itinerary, clients will explore the island’s landscapes and ecosystem. Clients will visit Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They will fly to Amborodia to visit the pinnacles of the Petit Tsingy to view six lemur species and 53 bird species. On the next day’s excursion, they will explore the Grand Tsingy, a high rope bridge to marvel at the limestone formations that span 375,600 acres, and rock pinnacles that can reach up to 2,600 feet. Onwards, they will board their private charter flight to Morondava with its ornately carved wooden royal tombs. Next up is the Avenue of the Baobabs, touted as "the world’s longest tree-lined avenue." This area showcases some of the continent’s oldest baobabs (and, of the planet’s eight species, six are endemic to Madagascar with some of these massive trees estimated to be over 2,800 years old).

On the new 10-day "Madagascar Adventure," guests will explore two private reserves. In the southeast, Mandrare River Camp, with only seven tents, offers river views and emphasizes responsible tourism and sustainability. Guests will embark on a night walk in the Forest of Zenavo to observe diurnal lemurs winding down and nocturnal lemurs awakening. The adventure continues with a sunrise excursion to the Spiny Forest, where they can spot endemic birds such as the running coua, vangas and crested coua, followed by a visit to a local market and an opportunity to meet the nomadic Antandroy tribe. In the northwest, Anjajavy Private Reserve, accessible only by air, provides a perfect blend of beach and bush adventure, featuring diverse wildlife including the Coquerel’s sifakas and elusive fossa. Guests will also participate in a “Make Travel Matter” experience, learning about the impactful project to repatriate giant tortoises to Madagascar with the long-term goal of reintroducing them to their natural habitats.

The new nine-day "Ancient Egypt" itinerary begins in Cairo, where clients will stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. The next day, they will join their private Egyptologist guide for a full-day tour beginning at the Grand Egyptian Museum with its anticipated full opening in late 2024. Other highlights include the floating Obelisk, the 36-foot statue of Ramses, the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Clients will also have the opportunity to enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Onwards, they will fly to Aswan to discover the UNESCO-listed Abu Simbel temples and explore the two temples built by King Ramses II. They will also embark on a felucca excursion on the Nile. The exploration continues with a visit to Luxor’s archeological sites including the Valley of the Kings along with a visit to the tomb of Seti I. Guests will also explore the Fayoum Oasis, known for its scenic lakes, and the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, the second largest in Egypt.
