African Travel, Inc. has witnessed a pent-up demand for various travel styles for both last-minute bookings for families, solo travelers and couples, in addition to advisor-hosted groups for 2023 and 2024. To meet the demand, the luxury safari outfitter is offering travel advisor incentives for trips booked in 2022 along with enhanced client experiences and add-ons on select itineraries.
What to know: Travel advisors who have a group of 10-plus clients traveling together can book a new group safari by December 15, 2022 and earn $500 extra along with their commission. Every group journey is customized by African Travel and popular last minute group trips have included multi-generation trips to south and east Africa, heritage and cultural explorations in South Africa and best friends’ getaways.
African Travel has also added more dates to its small-group departures. Guests can book this year’s trips by September 30, 2022 and enjoy less crowds and more savings before prices rise in 2023.
With Egypt cruises are nearly sold out this year, African Travel offers the October 8 and December 3, “Wonders of Egypt” departures from Cairo to Aswan with touring and sailing on sister brand Uniworld’s all-suite ship, River Tosca, which has limited space. Extended stays are a major travel trend and clients are willing to go on longer trips. Clients can consider combining Egypt and Kenya with the new five-day “Mara Wildlife Experience” extension and enjoy the home of the Great Migration where they can traverse the plains of East Africa with game drives, guided walks and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Guests can spend their Thanksgiving holidays on the “Kenya Wildlife Safari” departing November 24. On this nine-day adventure, they can enjoy game drives in Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakaru and the Masai Mara.
Another top travel trend is the rise of solo travel. On the 11-day “Tanzania Explorer,” guests can visit the home of the great wildebeest migration during the green season. Solo travelers are being offered no single supplement on the December 2 departure with limited availability.
