Independent travel company Avanti Destinations has introduced several new last-minute winter itineraries. Avanti’s trips spread across Europe, Asia and South America and include a Silent Night-themed stay in Salzburg, Austria, a tour of German Christmas markets, a stay in an Airstream Camper on Bolivia’s Uyuni salt flats and more.
Avanti’s ‘200 Years of Silent Night’ trip takes travelers to the home of the famous Christmas songs “Silent Night.” Guests spend five days and four nights in Salzburg, where they take a half-day “Christmas in the Lake District” tour, attend a “My Silent Night” performance at the Felsenreitschule theater, go to the otherwise sold-out Adventsingen Festival and see the Silent Night exhibition at the Salzburg Museum.
The ‘German Christmas Markets,’ tour is another five-day, four-night trip, this time stopping in three cities to see their famous Christmas markets. Visiting Munich, Nuremberg and Regensburg, the itinerary includes private tours of the markets in each of the cities, a three-course dinner in Munich and Nuremberg and train travel. The trip can also be combined with the Austrian Silent Night tour.
Travelers can take a three-city tour of Switzerland with Avanti’s Swiss Classics tour. The seven-day, six-night tour stops in Zurich, Grindelwald and Lucerne and includes first class Swiss FlexiPass, a private Lucerne walking tour, a shared tour of Zurich, a fondue dinner, entrance to a chocolate factory, a self-guided trip to Mount Schilthorn and a 24-hour ZurichCARD.

In Turin, the itinerary includes a private sweets walking tour, chocolate tasting walking tour, private Langhe countrside vineyard tour and a visit to the Egyptian Museum.
