Independent travel specialist Avanti Destinations has partnered with VisitBritain to launch “Local Flavors in Great Britain," a campaign promoting the diversity of food and drink experiences across Britain. As the exclusive tour operator for “Local Flavors in Great Britain”, Avanti has announced five new customizable food-and-drink-themed itineraries for independent travelers. Avanti sells exclusively through travel agents.
The campaign will run through March 31, 2018, and offers a range of new content across multiple platforms, so that travel agents can learn more about the new itineraries and British destinations. Digital content includes a new interactive microsite www.avantidestinations.com/visitbritain, as well as a “Local Flavors in Great Britain” digital guide with videos and photos that highlight British destinations. Travel agents can share this new content with their clients as flyers or e-brochures.
The five multi-region, seven- to 13 day-itineraries are focused on London, Yorkshire, Edinburgh and Cornwall/Devon, the four regional “food hubs” identified by VisitBritain as having both heritage and modern, undiscovered food and drink experiences. In addition, there are also four new four-day modules, each focused on one of the four food hubs, which can be combined as the travel agent’s client wishes or added onto another Avanti Great Britain itinerary.
Avanti is also offering travel agents a bonus commission of $50 for each booking of $2,000 or more anywhere in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland made in February and March 2018 with travel taking place before December 15, 2018. Details on the bonus and the itineraries are on the microsite.
