Brendan Vacations has launched “Legendary Castles Stay,” a new private chauffeur itinerary inviting travelers to explore Ireland offering exclusive experiences and stays at Ashford Castle and Dromoland Castle.
According to Catherine Reilly, managing director of Brendan Vacations, the new program offers travelers an upgraded castle stay experience and can be customized even further any time of the year they choose to visit the Celtic isles. She added, “Our private chauffeurs are available 24/7 and equipped with extensive local knowledge and resources to bring guests beyond the castle walls and connect them with local specialists to dive deeper into the authentic Irish experience.”
Dating to 1228, Ashford Castle is a luxury castle hotel, once home to the Guinness family in the 19th century. Guests have access to the 350-acre property situated alongside the Lough Corrib, with amenities such as The Spa at Ashford and the George V Restaurant, plus on-property activities such as falconry, horseback riding and more. Guests can relax with afternoon tea or dine at the Dungeon Bar before indulging in a sweet treat from Paula Stakelum, the castle’s director of chocolate and patisserie, made exclusively for Brendan Vacations’ guests.
Dromoland Castle, located in County Clare, spans over 450 acres with a history dating to the 16th century. As part of the “Legendary Castles Stay itinerary,” guests will enjoy an exclusive cocktail and dinner at the castle’s flagship restaurant, the Earl of Thomond, which showcases Irish ingredients and flavors. Visitors can enjoy a championship golf course, walking trails and a range of outdoor activities such as horseback riding, archery and woodland trekking.
Beyond the castles, Brendan Vacations guests will join their private chauffeur to discover the highlights of Ireland with experiences such as:
- Exploring Dublin on a private walking tour with stops at streets, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems
- Venturing into the region of Connemara to visit the Gothic-inspired Kylemore Abbey, originally built as a private residence in the late 19th century and later transformed into a Benedictine monastery
- Joining a “Make Travel Matter” culinary walking tour in Galway and sample items by artisan producers, restaurants and market stands
