ExperienceFirst has launched its new “Unofficial Succession Tour” for visitors and locals alike in New York City to follow the steps of the Roy family for a day. Fans can visit the filming locations and real-life stories behind HBO's hit show, “Succession,” to experience the story on a new level. Designed and hosted by New York-based team members with an insider perspective, the tour goes beyond a walk around the filming locations and dives deep into the historic context that makes the show so realistic.
During this two-hour tour around Downtown, guests can live out the glamor and drama of a day in the life of a Waystar Royco executive, exploring several filming locations including the Woolworth Building (Rava’s penthouse and one of the world’s most expensive properties), Zuccotti Park (the site of Occupy Wall Street) and Downtown Heliport (frequently used by the Roys). Guests will get a glimpse into the lives of the 1 percent as they talk real estate, private jets and the top-notch luxuries reserved for the ultra-wealthy. Throughout the tour, the guide will share the true stories that inspired the companies that make up the zeitgeist of “Succession” from families like the Rockefellers, Astors and Murdochs. As the day comes to a close, guests will have the chance to take a photo at the bench Kendall sits at during the series finale. Guests will also get tips from their guide on more luxe city experiences they can try.
Following the successful launch of the “Emily in Paris: The Unofficial Tour,” this tour serves as the second pop-culture-themed tour for ExperienceFirst. These tours are designed around the rising trend of travelers inspired to visit a destination after seeing it featured on a TV show, news source or movie.
Tip: ExperienceFirst will also host a giveaway in tandem with this launch. Until October 18, fans can enter via a form on the giveaway landing page for the chance to win a helicopter tour of the city for two with Manhattan Helicopters (valued at $600), a $500 gift card to Michelin-starred Italian restaurant, Al Coro (the successor to Del Posto which was featured in Episode 1 of Season 2), or this private tour for two.
The tour is priced $39 for adults; $35 for children aged three to 12 years; and free for infants aged two years and under. The tour runs at 10 a.m. daily and 3 p.m. Friday to Sunday. The tour commences at 85 Chambers Street on the southeast corner of Broadway and Chambers and ends at Battery Park. This tour is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. In case of stairs or escalators, a guide will direct guests to a nearby alternative. Private tours are also available.
